Big Nevada Republican endorses Harry Reid

RENO, Nev. – Sen. Bill Raggio has been an influential Republican for the last four decades and he's endorsing a Democrat U.S. Sen. Harry Reid for reelection to th US Senate.

Raggio said GOP candidate Sharron Angle was "totally ineffective" as a four-term state lawmaker.

Raggio also cited what he called Angle's inability and unwillingness to work with others even within her own party, and her extreme positions on Social Security and other issues.

The GOP believes it will pick up eighth seats in the Senate, but needs 10 to take it over. Newsmax is asking for contributions for the Angle campaign.  Intrade shows the race as a toss-up.
