Jackie Evancho sings with Sarah Brightman
If the judges had picked the winner, it would have been Jackie Evancho.
But America's Got Talent is a popularity contest and the 'lowest common denominator' usually wins.
Last year a 'chicken catcher' who fumbled badly in the finals won.
Rightardia doesn't want to underestimate the winner, Michael Grimm. He is probably the best popular singer to appear on the show ever and his rendition of an Al Green song in the semis last week was incredible. His final performance with Jewel was awesome.
"Fighting Gravity," a Blue men type of performance, was the most creative group on this series.
Rightardia would have guessed that the finals would have gone this way: Jackie Evancho, Fighting Gravity and Micheal Grimm.
Pop singers make a lot of money but they are also a 'dime a dozen.' We would guess that Jackie Evancho will one day became a internationally famous opera singer. Fighting Gravity will be featured with the Blue Men and become a commercial phenomenon and Michael Grimm will have a long and successful career as a pop singer.
America's got Talent was smart to use YouTube as a talent resource. There was more talent in this series than any one prior.
Piers Morgan is taking over the Larry King show. Morgan is a highly intelligent man and not afraid to speak his mind.
This should make the new CNN Piers Morgan show very interesting.
