Bill Nelson, Florida's best senator

The Major had been working with his Republican congressman to get some issues with a  VA calim resolved. After four congressional inquiries, The Major was not too impressed.

He checked his Democratic senators web site and found a link that indicated Senator bill Nelson would help cut through red tape: see http://billnelson.senate.gov/contact/email.cfm

The major was able to get an appointment the same day with one of Senator Nelson's staffers: Shahra Anderson who is a Regional Director at the
Sam Gibbons Federal Courthouse in Tampa. She will transmit some of the major's documents to Senator Nelson's VA staffer who is in Orlando.

Senator Nelson’s office can help if you have a problem dealing with a federal agency, including, but not limited to Medicare, Social Security, veterans’ benefits and travel visas.

To effectively and efficiently work on your request, complete and sign the consent for release of information form, provide a detailed account of the problem and describe any actions already taken. Include copies of all documentation that support your claim or may be helpful, such as letters to and from agencies as well as medical or other forms. The consent form can be completed online.

 Bill Nelson is one of the few people who have served in both the House and the Senate as an astronaut. Rightardia attended the Florida State Democratic Convention in Orlando and got to hear Senator Nelson speak on the Obama health care plan which is now law. The Rightardia staff was impressed.
