Ninety percent of working Americans are being squeezed out of their fair share of the economic pie by the top one percent at the top of our economic food chain. According to the Economic Policy Institute, the top one percent gets more than a third of all income growth while the rest of us – 90 percent – get just under sixteen percent.
This inequality dooms millions of workers to stagnant or even falling wages as the top one percent devours the income growth we would otherwise get. It’s documented in the report State of Working America 2008/2009.
Rightardia is certain the GOP likes it this way because they consider the affluent to be the most productive Americans. White and blue collar workers just need to buck up and work harder.
