Lou Dobbs: Republicans are claiming health care bi-partisanship
A claim of GOP bi-partisanship in the House is sophistic because the House rules are clear: the majority party runs the show. The Senate is a more likely place for bi-partisanship to occur. The minority power has more power because of the threat of filibuster. It take 60 vote for a cloture vote that stops the filibuster.
The Baucus bill that is supposed to be published today appeared to be bi-partisan to a fault. Ten of the 23 members on the Senate Finance committee are Republican.
There is a rumor on the street that Fox News is trying to pry Lou Dobb's away from CNN. If he leaves, he would be following in the footsteps of Glen Beck who moved from CNN to Fox News.
