Rep. Alan Grayson energized the Democratic delegates at the Florida Democratic Confrence

Rep. Alan Grayson, Florida's 8th Congressional District, appeared on the podium wearing a colorful green Jerry Garcia tie.  He is famous for saying The Republican health care plan is this: "Don't get sick, and if you do get sick, die quickly." Grayson also referred to his Republican contemporaries in the House as knuckle dragging Neanderthals.

Garyson led off with a famous Spiro Agnew quote about those Republican "nattering nabobs of negativism. " He also said the Democrats should be called the Conscience Party and the GOP, the Selfish Party. The Conscience Party shelters the homeless, feeds the hungry and and heals the sick. He also referred to the GOP as the 'no mongers."

Grayson also said, "If the President has a BLT tomorrow, the Republicans will try to ban bacon.

Grayson indicated his campaign had received contributions from 1500 people since 8 pm Friday which corresponded to the Chair's Reception which was open to all attendees at the Disney Orlando Yacht Club. He made his speech to the Democratic delegates Saturday afternoon.
