More people die from being medically unisured than auto deaths



In every state of the union you must have auto insurance to drive an automobile, but only a few states require that workers have medical insurance. According to Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), 44,000 Americans die each year because they don't have medical insurance. This is one of the leading causes of death in America.



These are 2001 figures for the cause of other deaths in the US. Cancer is the leading cause of death and more than 565,000 were projected to die from cancer in 2008.
