Zogby Poll: Results are similar to Gallup

UTICA, New York - President Barack Obama's job approval is above 50% in the latest Zogby International national poll. The July 31-August 4 telephone poll of more than 1,000 likely voters shows 53% approving of Obama's job performance, and 38% disapproving.

Zogby International uses a four-point scale of job performance. Using that measure, 51% rate Obama as excellent (20.2%) or good (30.4%), and 48% rate his performance as fair (21.6%) or poor (26.0%).

Obama continues to retain high personal favorability from likely voters. The most recent phone survey found 62% rating the President favorably and 37% unfavorably.
