CNN host John King asked if U.S. troops will likely be in Afghanistan for another decade.
"No. Not yet. We're prepared to say, look this is hugely important to America's national security. We need to defeat Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and its allies ... That is what this strategy is about. It is about ensuring the most critical aspect of our national security," said Susan Rice.
