Mitt won't even release his last 5 years of tax returns

The Obama team said it would lay off Mitt's tax returns if he would release just 5 years.

The Romney campaign rejected the offer.

Romney campaign manager Matt Rhoade stated: 

It is clear that President Obama wants nothing more than to talk about Gov. Romney's tax returns instead of the issues that matter to voters.

Gallup: Majority of Americans Want Romney to Release Tax Returns

"A combined 44% believe the returns would damage Romney's campaign, with 29% saying they would show something harmful and 15% saying they would reveal something so serious it would show he is unfit to be president. 


Another 42% believe the tax returns would not reveal anything harmful to his campaign. Fourteen percent of Americans do not have an opinion on the matter."

WAPO: Mitt Romney should just release his tax returns

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney continues to be steadfast in his refusal to release any more than his last two years of tax returns,


This position that has already become a damaged his presidential campaign.


The WaPo says this issue could cause considerably more trouble if he doesn't figure out a better answer — and soon.
