Paul the Octopus gets a theme song and honorary citizenship in a Spanish town.

His predictions went 8-0 in the World cup which is a miracle and must be attributed to the one true God, the Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM).

Paul the Octopus retires after calling 8 World Cup matches in a row

(July 2) Paul the octopus, who correctly predicted the outcome of all of Germany's World Cup matches and the Spain-Netherlands final, is retiring from the oracle business with a perfect record.

He called eight soccer matches in a row correctly.

Paul the Octopus predicts Spain will win the World Cup

Paul, the German celebrity cephalopod, predicts a Spanish victory over the Netherlands in Sunday’s World Cup Final.

In front of TV cameras, the two-year-old octopus took only three minutes to retrieve food from a tank with a Spanish flag on it. He ignored the tank with Dutch flag.
