Rightrdia couldn't agree more that the Holocaust needs to be laid to rest in the US, too. The Holocaust has become a grim national Jewish holiday in the US.

Many Americans only dimly understand the lead up to World War 2. Republicans are trying to portray the Nazis as socialists, while the Nazis were really closer to right wing fascists.

The entire Nazi movement was a reaction to Russian communism, another failed ideological political solution.

Do we really need to dredge this up every year?

Democratic Underground.com: Rabbis make use of Murdoch's other media to target Fox News over 'Nazi' label

A coalition of rabbis wants Fox News chief Roger Ailes and conservative host Glenn Beck to cut out all their talk about Nazis and the Holocaust.

The rabbis have called on Fox News's owner, Rupert Murdoch, to sanction his two famous employees via a full-page ad in Thursday's editions of the Wall Street Journal.

The ad is signed by the heads of the Reform, Conservative and Reconstructionist movements as well as Orthodox rabbis.

We share a belief that the Holocaust, of course, can and should be discussed appropriately in the media. But that is not what we have seen at Fox News," says the ad, signed by hundreds of rabbis and placed by the Jewish Funds for Justice, a nonprofit advocacy group. 

Earlier this month, the group organized a letter-writing campaign asking Murdoch to remove Beck from the air.

Haaretz: Jewish artist defends YouTube video 'Dancing Auschwitz'

A YouTube clip depicting five people dancing to the tune of Gloria Gaynor's song "I Will survive" in front of Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz has resurfaced at the center of a trans-Atlantic controversy.

Australian Jewish artist Jane Korman filmed her three children and her father, 89-year-old Holocaust survivor Adolk, in the video clip "I Will Survive: Dancing Auschwitz." 

The clip depicted the Korman family dancing in front of Holocaust land marks in Poland, including infamous entrance sign to Auschwitz death camp that says "Arbeit Macht Frei," a Polish synagogue, Dachau, Theresienstadt, and a memorial in Lodz.

Her father at one point in the clip even wore a shirt on which the word "Survivor" was written. During a recent family visit to Israel Korman said that she thought of the idea after she encountered hatred toward Israel and Jews in Australia.

Many Jewish survivors have reacted gravely to the video, accusing her of disrespect. Yet Korman told Australian daily The Jewish News that “it might be disrespectful, but he [her father] is saying:

‘we’re dancing, we should be dancing, we’re celebrating our survival and the generations after me,’ - the generation he’s created. We are affirming our existence.”

When the video was first released in December 2009, Melbourne media reacted strongly to the video and even accused Korman of using the Holocaust to promote her art. Korman said:

“I wanted to make artwork that creates a fresh interpretation of historical memory,” 

Apparently the video installation, which was exhibited in an Australia art gallery, was also picked up by several neo-Nazi websites in which they wrote:

"look, the Jews are still dancing in every corner. We aren't through with them; we will finish them in the next Holocaust." 

Rightardia comment:  the Holocaust is a poignant reminder of fascist scapegoating. In Germany it was the Jews. In the US it has been the blacks and now the Tea Partiers have added Hispanics.


The only criticisms of this film is that Rightardia wishes the family had taken some dancing lessons before they made the video.

Anti-Defamation League tells GOP to knock off the Holocaust imagery

This is the letter the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) sent to Minority Leader John Boehner. Rightardia had pointed out in prior articles that the GOP has more in common with the Nazis than the Democratic Party.

When the US was fighting the Nazis in Europe, the US had FDR as president. Many Republicans had an isolationist policy and did not want to fight the Nazis. Some conservative US companies even traded with the Nazis during World War 2.

Traditionally, Republicans were "Isolationists" who generally opposed foreign wars. Abraham Lincoln opposed the Mexican War, but waged the Civil War to "save" the Union. The Spanish-American War was largely opposed by right-wingers, but it was justified by the Republican president on the grounds that it was in response to a Spanish attack on an American ship (which we now know didn't happen) and that it served American interests. 

Republicans opposed World War I and the League of Nations and loathed Woodrow Wilson, the first Neo-"Conservative" president. During the Era of Normalcy, the Republicans embraced the idea of America First. 

When FDR began the push to war, the right-wing led the largest anti-war movement in American history, the America First Committee (although the Right had a diversity of views on what to do during that time; many were "Isolationist," but others sought to stop Communism or Fascism).

Rightardia agrees with the ADL. The use of Holocaust imagery is inappropriate in the health care debate.

Dear Minority Leader Boehner:

We write to urge you to condemn forcefully the invocation of Holocaust imagery such as photos of Nazi concentration camp victims in the current health care debate. We were appalled that such images were held up by protesters at a press conference called and organized by Republicans at the United States Capitol last week, and deeply disappointed at the failure of the Republican leadership to speak out against such comparisons.

As the world’s leading organization fighting anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, the Anti-Defamation League is non-partisan and has no position on the issues underlying the health care debate. However, we believe that the use Nazi symbols and pictures of Nazi victims to advance a political agenda under any circumstance is inappropriate and profoundly offensive. It cheapens the suffering of survivors and causes keen and unnecessary pain to the families and friends of those murdered by the millions at Nazi concentration camps. Such imagery is also deeply upsetting to the Jewish community, and to people of good will across this nation who understand the profound evil that Nazism represented.

Reasonable people can and do differ about health care reform. However, as divided as our nation may be on the best way to effectuate such reform, there should be absolutely no division when it comes to condemning the use of the Holocaust and Holocaust imagery for domestic political purposes.

ADL has consistently objected to the use of the Holocaust in this way, no matter who is invoking it, and no matter for what political purpose it is being invoked. We cannot and will not in good conscience stand by and allow the enormity of the Holocaust — the death of six million — to be invoked in a way that trivializes the memory of those who perished.

We urge you to use your stature and platform as a national political leader to reject and condemn the use of Holocaust imagery for political purposes, and to urge your supporters to find other ways to communicate their views.

Al Haaretz: Holocaust-denying bishop appeals large fine in Germany

The Roman Catholic Church collaborated with the Nazis during World War 2

An ultraconservative British bishop was fined 12,000 euro $16,822 in Germany for denying the Holocaust. He is appealing the fine, his lawyer said Tuesday.

Matthias Lossmann said that the bishop, Richard Williamson, objected to the fine, which means there will be a trial. A spokesman for the Regensburg court that issued the fine, Thomas Koch, said the court is currently examining the appeal, a routine procedure.

The court last month issued an order of punishment against Williamson for incitement, in connection with an interview that he gave to Swedish television in which he questioned that Jews were killed in the Holocaust.

The interview was conducted in the German city of Regensburg in November 2008. An order of punishment is a German legal tool that does not involve trial but is equivalent to a conviction if accepted by the defendant.

Williamson has told German media that he tried to prevent the interview from being broadcast in Germany, which could bolster his case if it goes to trial. Williamson was excommunicated from the Catholic Church in 1988 as a direct and immediate consequence of, his unauthorized consecration as a bishop by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre.

The Holy See lifted the excommunication in January 2009. However, after reports accusing him of Holocaust denial attracted widespread media coverage, the Vatican declared that "in order to be admitted to episcopal functions within the Church, (he) will have to take his distance, in an absolutely unequivocal and public fashion, from his Holocaust position.

Wishing to heal the rift with traditionalist Catholics, Pope Benedict lifted the excommunications of the four bishops Lefebvre had consecrated. The decision stirred widespread outrage, particularly in Germany, where the interview was conducted and where Holocaust denial is illegal and punishable by imprisonment of up to five years.

On 4 February 2009, German prosecutors announced the launch of a criminal investigation into the statements.

Williamson sent the Pope a letter expressing his regret about the problems that he had caused, but did not retract his statements.

On 4 February 2009 the Vatican Secretariat of State issued a note stating that Williamson would have to distance himself unequivocally and publicly from the opinions that he had expressed before he would be permitted to act as a bishop within the Church.

Williamson responded that he would do so only after looking at the historical evidence for himself. On 26 February, he formally apologized for the offense that had been caused by his comments, but did not indicate that he had changed his views.

The Vatican rejected his apology, stating that he needed to "unequivocally and publicly" withdraw his comments.

Williamson was subsequently forbidden from speaking out publicly about historical or political matters.

Williamson was sacked as the head of the seminary of in La Reja, Argentina and Bishop Fellay stated said that if Williamson again denied the Holocaust, he would be excluded from the Society.

On February 19, 2009, the government of Argentina gave him 10 days to leave the country voluntarily or he would be expelled. Interior minister Florencio Randazzo said that the irregular presence in the country of someone who had "deeply offended Argentine society and humanity with anti-semitic statements" was "intolerable".

It is clear the Pope made a huge mistake of lifting the excommunication. The Pope is apparently not infallible.

The evidence is also overwhelming that Pius XII and Paul VI collaborated with Nazis before, during and after the Second World War. Even now the Vatican and Franciscan Order holds concentration camp loot at its repositories in Rome and Switzerland. See details at vaticanbankclaims.com

Rush Limbaugh tells the biggest lie ever told on mass media

Well known radio talk show host, Rush Limbaugh said the media is blaming him and others like him for the Holocaust Memorial Museum shooting that occurred on Wednesday, in which security guard Stephen T. Johns was killed.

James von Brunn, the 88-year-old white supremacist shooter has been charged with murder. Limbaugh calls von Brunn a “nut case Jew-hater,” and said the media is portraying the killer as someone who could act only if inspired by somebody.

“An incident like this yesterday, I dare say, people on the left [are] applauding inside their hearts for the purposes of advancing their political agenda… And yes, I mean to say that,” Limbaugh said.

Limbaugh also said President Obama is desensitizing the public to the Holocaust due to his stance on Gaza.

Limbaugh has stated on his radio show that James von Brunn was a leftist because he was against Bush, McCain and other Republican programs. He went onto say that the left wing was happy about the shooting because they looked at as a 'political opportunity.' Limbaugh used the term 'Jew hater' several times during his diatribes. Generally Jewish people object to be referred to as Jews and prefer to be called a Jewish person, a Jewish man or a Jewish woman. Wikipedia has a warning about referring to someone as a 'Jew."

It is clear that James von Brunn, 88, was anti-Semitic and a white-supremacist. His views were known to federal authorities.

"You want my weapons; this is how you'll get them," von Brunn wrote in a note he had signed, according to the arrest affidavit.

"The Holocaust is a lie," the note read. "Obama was created by Jews. Obama does what his Jew owners tell him to do. Jews captured America's money.”

The assistant FBI director for the District of Columbia, Joseph Persichini Jr., said the bureau knew von Brunn had an "established Web site that expressed hatred of African Americans and Jews."

James von Brunn is obviously on the far right of American politics with his bigoted views of Jewish people, other minorities and his neo-Nazi comments about the holocaust.

Only a ideologue like Limbaugh would claim that von Brunn was a leftist. Apparently Limbaugh believes some of the following quotes of Adolf Hitler:

Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.


By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise.
