It gets worse. The South has some of the worst unemployment in the US although the GOP will tell you how modern it is to operate corporations without unions. In most Southern states because of low wages, thirty per cent or more of the population doesn't pay taxes either.
Yet the GOP that has become a regional party complains about health care that would benefit Southerners more than people in other regions of the country.
