Is Newt the Great White Hope of the GOP? Newt was forced to resign of Speaker of the House for misconduct. Rightardia has described him in several articles as authoritarian. He did away the committee system in the House based on seniority and instead made his cronies committee chairs.
Gingrich also discouraged contact between Republican and Democratic representatives while he was the Speaker. This caused much of the polarization we have in the House today. Rightardia considers Gingrich to be a divisive man.
Gingrich is trying to resuscitate his image by converting to Roman Catholicism. Gingrich was involved in marital affairs during his political career and was married when he has was shagging Callista, whom he is now married. To make matters worse, he was castigating Bill Clinton for the Lewinsky affair at the time.
Rightardia suspects that Newt will have a tough time with the evangelical vote based upon his sexual hi-jinks. Of course, if he decides to become Reborn, this scoundrel will be forgiven. Evangelicals love Reborn Christians no matter how scandalous their lives have been. You can count on Gingrich to play the God card whenever he can as he makes a run for the presidency.
