Bill Clinton "shocked and awed" the Charlotte crowd tonight

Bill Clinton's speech had some real zingers:

1. Politics doesn't have to be a blood sport.
2. Partnership rather than partisanship.
3. I want a man who had the good sense to marry Michelle Obama.
4. GOP "wants to double down on trickle down."
5. Clinton also had a reference to the GOP alternate universe, a term Rightardia has used in numerous posts.

Alex Castellanos, a former Romney staffer said:

I would recommend to my friend Paul [Begala] here, tonight when everybody leaves, lock the doors. You don't have to come back tomorrow. This convention is done. This will be the moment that probably re-elected Barack Obama. Bill Clinton saved the Democratic Party once, it was going to far left, he came in, the new democrats took it to the center. He did it again tonight.

You do realize that, when Obama said "somebody else made that happen"... he was basically confirming trickle-down economics works... right?

The somebody else doesn't have to be a one per center. Team Romney is not embracing supply side economics. N. Gregory Mankiw is a New Keynesian economist.

Obama used the principals of Keynesian economics in the stimulus. The US economy out performed better than the euro zone that tried austerity measures.
