Uploaded by  on Jan 19, 2012

ABC's Brian Ross spoke to the Morning Majority about his interview with Newt Gingrich's second ex-wife. Ross told WMAL Marianne defended Gingrich against the controversies that defined his tenure as Speaker of the House. The interview will air on "Nightline" tonight.

This is the audio of the ABC News Brian Ross interview of Marianne Gingrich.

Newt said to  Marianne:

I  want to stay married to you and still have an affair with Calista . . .You need to share me . . .

Marianne responded:

I don't want to share.

The marriage was over at that point. Gingrich gave a "family values" speech in Erie, PA at the time.

The Newster told his former wife that "talking the talk" was more important that 'walking the walk."

He didn't think the hypocrisy of  his adultery was important.

Marianne added:

Gingrich Lacks moral character to Be President.
