Red-blooded Christian Americans, consider yourselves warned. The American Family Association's Bryan Fischer has discovered a plot to secretly infiltrate America's ovens with Muslim turkeys.
The religious process that Bryan Fischer is decrying called Halal is no different than the typical way turkeys are slaughtered. It just means that observant Muslims can eat the turkey, and Butterball can sell more food.
This is common sense and smart business. if you have ever eaten Kosher meat, there is also a special ritual that is used during the slaughter of the animal.
Kosher guidelines require the animal be killed by a single cut across the throat to a precise depth, severing both carotid arteries, both jugular veins, both vagus nerves, the trachea and the esophagus, causing the animal to bleed to death.
Pam Geller who is Jewish could have set Fischer straight on the Turkey ritual, but she didn't.
